Cast In HeatersTubular heating elements can be provided to any length, formed into any configuration and sheathed in numerous different materials to suit your application. Standard terminations include threaded stud, threaded bulk head, screw lug, quick disconnect spade, ceramic to metal hermetic, molded rubber lead, conventional lead-wire terminal assembly and more.

Straight Tubular Heating Elements
Standard tubular heating elements for any application. Tubular heating elements are a versatile and economical heat source for a wide variety of industrial and commercial applications. Standard diameters are .260”, .315”, .375”, .430”, .496”, and .625”. Other special sizes are available. Depending on the diameter, lengths can be supplied up to 268”. Standard sheath materials are Incoloy®, stainless steel, or copper coated steel. Special sheath materials may be available based on diameter and size of the element required. The typical electrical termination is a ceramic insulator with a threaded stud terminal. Flexible leadwire extensions or other mounting options are available for specific applications.

Formed Tubular Heating Elements
Custom heating elements can be provided to any length, formed into any configuration and sheathed in a variety of different materials to suit your application. Likewise, the connection/termination possibilities are limited only by your imagination and the availability of components. Standard terminations include threaded stud, threaded bulk-head, screw lug, quick disconnect spade, ceramic-to-metal hermetic, molded rubber lead, conventional leadwire terminal assembly and more. Our supplier frequently fabricates custom tubular heaters in conjunction with an OEM's design staff, both for prototype and production.

Manifold Tubular Heaters
Durotube™ manifold tubular heating elements provide an economical, robust, and versatile heat source. These elements are commonly used to fit into milled grooves for hot runner molding systems. The precision fit optimizes heat transfer to the working surface. We can provide formed elements “ready to go” into your existing channel or new tool design. Due to the fact that these designs are made to order, our engineering staff will require a detailed drawing or CAD disk for design purposes.

Immersion Tubular Heaters
Tubular Heaters are commonly used in radiant and immersion heating applications such as infant incubators where a formed tubular heater warms the air flow and an immersion tubular heater assembly vaporizes water to provide humidity. Tubular heater assemblies are also the preferred solution for laboratory sterilizers and environmental chambers.
  • Precision intricate forming
  • Operating temperature to 800°C
  • Diameters from 0.210 to 0.475 inch
  • High temperature moisture seals
  • Helium leak, electrical, and X-ray testing

Finned Tubular Heaters
Higher watt densities and increased heat transfer characteristics are achieved using the finned tubular heater design. The continuous spiral fins are attached to the heater sheath promoting rapid heat dispersion in air or liquids. The fins are constructed of steel, stainless steel, or Incoloy depending on the application requirements. All standard element diameters can be adapted to the finned construction.
